The nearness of your Destiny! 2/20/18
The enemy constantly tells the devout Jewish scholars and prophets:
“Your Messiah is near! He is about to arrive!”
This thought and mindset strengthens the lie:
“The Messiah has not yet come.”
What if likewise our constant “future look” for the “destiny” (that we are supposed to be already walking in) causes us to miss The Destiny; as we pass Him by, every day!
The enemy loves to tell us:
“Your destiny is close at hand!”
Causing us to miss or lose focus on The Destiny, that has already arrived.
Doesn’t the thought:
“Your destiny is near! It is about to arrive!”
Cause us to overlook the NOW; and for our focus to be drawn only into the future?
Causing us to draw back (from pressing forward) and to hold out for a future time?
Resulting in a forever pattern of waiting?
Doesn’t this thought and mindset strengthen the lie:
“Your destiny has not yet come.”
But, what about…
“There is a time to be born” (and here you are)!
You have entered into your destiny (to live for Him)! You have already surrendered your life to Him; right?
“Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Amplified Classic Edition
We say that we hear this. We say that we know this. Yet, day after day of our finite time on this earth passes; while we say in concert with our enemy:
“Any day now my destiny is coming!”
“I think I see it; but it’s late in the day. I guess it will come tomorrow!”
(The enemy grins and chuckles with glee at our waste of another day.)
Knowing that tomorrow never comes!
How reckless and foolish!
To think that we are waiting on “our destiny”.
All the while… our Destiny (Jesus) has already come!
Jesus making and showing THE Way!
We are supposed to be:
Following in Jesus’ footsteps.
About our Father’s business.
Expanding His Kingdom through wisdom given by Holy Spirit.
Instead, we allow satan to trim another day away. Another day without Kingdom expansion.
satan has planned to “run the clock out” on us.
Insurance companies, and lawyers; are encouraged to “run out the clock” on their claimants, or the opposing side. Insurance companies and lawyers know:
There is a finite time for claims to be made; and for legal justice to take place. Likewise our enemy knows we have a finite time to do our Father’s will; here on the earth. Using this knowledge, satan will try to distract us and “run the clock out” on us.
We are looking for Jesus’ return (and rightly so); but doesn’t Scripture state:
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”.
What if His imminent return IS a hundred years from now?
Will we not return to Him sooner?
Are any of us promised our next breath?
Since this is the case; shouldn’t we live every day like it is our last?
One day it will be!
Are we saving the knowledge we have been given, for the next life?
Are we forever waiting on “our destiny”?
Forever, waiting to start this race?
Waiting to fight the Good Fight of Faith?
What about the God given: Dreams, visions, revelation, adventures, exploits, resources, etc.
Will we be able to use; or more fully pursue these things after this life is over?
After this life we will be in His presence; dwelling in His House.
What “destiny” do we NOW possess that He will have need of… there?
Will our dreams, visions, revelation, adventures, exploits, resources, etc; (if left unused) be able to add value to His Kingdom… there?
Isn’t the “HERE and NOW” where all those things that we have been given; are destined for?
We hear about “the last days” in our meetings. At least we used too. Many people are deaf to this message saying:
“I have heard about this since I was a little kid”.
But, in reality how many days does each of us have left?
Are these not OUR last days?
Will we not soon meet The Master?
We want to make Him proud.
We want to not be ashamed at His appearing.
“Yes, my dear children, live in Him. If we do this, we can be without fear on the day when Christ comes again. We will not need to hide and be ashamed when He comes. You know that Christ always did what was right. So you know that all those who do what is right are God’s children.”
1 John 2:28-29 Easy Read Version
A child focuses and learns from it’s father and mother. If there are brothers and sisters surrounding; a child focuses and learns from them also. We as God’s Children should focus on our Father. We should focus on our Elder Brother- Jesus. We should listen and obey Holy Spirit as He speaks and guides us into all truth. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have already been revealed to us.
Shouldn’t Their “learning” already be evident in our lives?
Or, is Their “learning” waiting on a future destiny in order to be revealed in our lives?
Children of God we need to:
Reject the focusing and learning from a “future destiny” since it allows The Destiny that has already arrived; to be missed!
Don’t continually pass your Destiny by!
Yes! Your Destiny is close at hand!
(He’s the One with the nail scarred hands!)
Yes! He has future glory to be revealed as well!
But, don’t allow the future to cause you to only stop and look; waiting.
And…
Missing the reality of the NOW with Him!…
Go ahead and enter in with Him!…
Children of God-
Enter into… your Destiny!
